Learners will acquire the knowledge and abilities in preparing intermediate level pastry products that require some level of attention to details and complexity in techniques.
This includes both the specialised and soft skills for them to perform their job roles effectively and efficiently, as well as adapt to evolving industry with the changing trends and appetites of consumers in Singapore.
These skills have also been carefully selected to promote the development and enhancement of horizontal skills for mobility within the industry.

Course Objectives

Prepare macarons in accordance with the industrial standard

Prepare basic entremets and tarts in accordance with the industrial standard

Develop ice cream recipes in accordance with the industrial standard

Make hot and cold desserts in accordance with the industrial standard

Make puff pastry products in accordance with the industrial standard

Make yeast-raised pastries in accordance with the industrial standard
Admission Criteria
-
Age 21 and above
-
Learners have attained competency in Basic Pastry Preparation (Level 2 or equivalent) or have experience in preparing basic pastry products
-
Have basic English skills (listening/speaking and reading/writing)
Course Fees & Funding

The course fee is S$2,322.00 (incl 8% GST) per participant
-
To help companies and individuals offset the cost of training, SSG provides funding for the course fee
(eligible for Singaporeans, PRs or LTVP+ holders only) and absentee payroll:-
INDIVIDUALS - Up to 70% course fee

SME - Up to 70% course fee

NON-SME- Up to 50% course fee

Assessment
-
Participants will be awarded a Statement of Attainment by SSG upon passing both written examination and practical assessment administered by Ascendo Academy
Cancellation & Refund

Full Refund will be made if the course is cancelled due to lack of participants or unforeseen circumstances
